National Pipeline Mapping System The National Pipeline Mapping System (NPMS) is a geographic information system (GIS) managed by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration. NPMS provides the general public information and maps of federally regulated intra- and inter-state pipelines.

Pipeline Association for Public Awareness (PAPA) A national industry organization comprised of pipeline operator companies and state organizations that provide pipeline safety and emergency preparedness information to the general public, public officials, emergency responders and excavators. is a national public service program dedicated to educating and preparing the public to respond to emergencies including natural disasters and potential terrorist attacks.

Southern Gas Association (SGA) A leading natural gas industry trade association focused on training individuals and advancing the industry by Linking People, Ideas, and Information, SGA’s broad-based membership spans all segments of the natural gas industry that use SGA as a collaborative forum to share knowledge, smart practices, and to learn from one another. SGA is a source of relevant training and program development, and a cost-effective vehicle for the increased use of natural gas. SGA administers the Texas Pipeline Awareness Alliance program.
